Michael Ganz
M.D.
Michael is a graduate of Union College, Schenectady, New York, and received his medical doctor training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Upon completion of his residency in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Ganz became a Physician Scientist at Yale University of Medicine, where he received his training in Nephrology and was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine. Upon his arrival in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Ganz was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University and, in 1991, was appointed Chief of Nephrology at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Dr. Ganz has published several journals and manuscripts on the ?Regulation of Ion Transport? and has continued to publish more than fifty manuscripts, several chapters, numerous reviews on basic research, and several articles on Hypertension and other kidney related diseases. He has been the recipient of the ?Established Investigator Award? from the American Heart Association, ?Clinical Scientist Award? from the Kidney Foundation, and is a recognized expert in Hypertension from the American Society of Hypertension. He has recently become a tenured professor at Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine and is currently Chief of Research for the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Administration Medical Center.
