| Joseph began his career in the field of dialysis 27 years ago as a patient care technician. He was one of the early pioneers of certification in the field, passing the BONENT technician certification in 1977 and the NNCC nephrology nurse certification examiniation in 1988. He is a published author, as well as a patented inventor of several dialysis access related devices. Uniquely, Joe also has OR Nurse experience, assisting surgeons in the placement and creation of dialysis accesses. Today, Joe is the co-owner and CEO of Shelby County Kidney Center, in Sidney, Ohio. He is also co-owner and president of BioDesign, Incorporated, a reseach and development company dedicated to the advancement of new medical technologies, especially in the fields of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. He is a registered nurse with a masters in business administration. |
