"NASW-PA Chapter has had a relationship with CEU4U since 2002. The Chapter wanted to offer a wide range of continuing education opportunities, including on-line courses. Partnering with CEU4U created a great opportunity to offer our members a quality product that was already available rather than having to design courses and an online
process on our own.
Comments by our internal review committee regarding the CEU4U product included:
- The company is easy to access on the internet and I found it was easy to negotiate the different parts their web site - including who the
instructors were, what the courses were, what the fees were, and how to register. In fact, this system is one of the more "consumer" friendly
sites I have visited as part of the continuing education process.
- I did spend some time looking at the different courses that were offered for social workers. I think the course objectives as they were
cited appear very appropriate. I am making the assumption that the content would follow the objectives.
- Instructors who designed the courses seemed to be appropriately credential for the topics for which they wrote courses.
- I felt the fee for individual courses was reasonable and this should be appealing to our membership.
- CEU4U has received the endorsement from many state chapters and organizations. This certainly makes their product more creditable.

As you go through the test, please make notes of the questions you are missing. Give me the question numbers and we can discuss the answers. I highly recommend the reading of Review of Hemodialysis for Nurses and Dialysis Personnel. It will put you on the right track. To date, everyone who has read that book and used my test has passed the BONENT, without problems.
Hint, take the test over and over as often as you can. It prepares You for the stress of the BONENT. By the time you get to the real test, you will be numb to the fear of testing.

"Given that most of my work involves research and teaching as opposed to direct client contact, it?s no longer necessary that I maintain social work licensure. In the decision whether to invest the time, effort and expense necessary to maintain my license ultimately came down to one thing: the quality of on-line CEU providers.

"Alice's Review: "Hello. You write very well. It was a very thorough article on a subject that we both know alot about. We work very closely with speech pathologists who are ordering more and more MBS's for this population. We are receiving more and more downgrades for both consistency of food and liquids. I find that the liquid cons downgrades (thickened
liquids) are exacerbating the constipation issues which are the norm with the non-ambulatory population receiving numerous medications. Thickened water is unpalatable. Thickened C/T is not well accepted. We are left with juices and diet drinks. Sodas do not thicken well either. Then speech pathologists, as you noted in your draft, don't want ice cream or sherbets, an OK substitute for fluids, unless it is served hard and cold and not liquidy (ie. unthickened liquid) We are in a catch 22; prevent aspiration pneumonia but cause constipation, dehydration and impactions.
