AAMA Certification/Recertification Recertification by Continuing Education Requirements:
Point Total Requirement. A total of 60 Recertification points is necessary to recertify the basic CMA credential. A minimum of 15 points is required in each of the general (transdisciplinary), administrative, and clinical content areas. The remaining 15 points may be accumulated in any of the three content areas. (See Content Areas Defined.)
Important Notice. Applications for Recertification by the continuing education method must include at least 20 points accumulated from AAMA CEUs. See AAMA website at:
